About The Role 💼

As our next Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping Flanks safe and resilient. You’ll join the Platform Team and help shape, build, and maintain the security foundations that protect our systems, data, and people. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to make a real impact and cares deeply about doing things right—because at Flanks, security is everyone’s business, and yours will be at the heart of it.

Responsibilities

Examples of tasks you can expect to work on are:

• Improve cybersecurity measures impacting the overall Flanks security.
• Work with different teams to find and improve the security in the applications.
• Validate that the cybersecurity requirements of products are implemented correctly.
• Detect, respond, and remediate cybersecurity alerts/incidents.
  
  

Things we'd love to see on you

• You are a nice person: We don’t tolerate bigotry or toxic behavior—just good vibes.
• You have already at least 3 years of experience in similar roles. We're looking for someone with some lessons already learned.
• Working experience on cybersecurity, especially with system hardening and pentesting.
• CISSP, OSCP, or PEN-200 certification is required.
• You live in Barcelona City and/or close enough to come to the office three times a week. Living in Spain is a mandatory and non-negotiable requirement.
• You’re fluent in English and Spanish.

We offer what we think is fair compensation (from 35K to 50K € per year for this role). We're not on the very top of the market, but our intention is to increase compensation as you grow with the company. You will not be left behind. We believe this is a really nice time to join the project as we'll experience some serious growth and changes during this year.
