Kotlin Backend Application Developer – Consultant to IBM

Required skills:

Proficiency in Kotlin (5+ years)

Strong understanding of:

• object-oriented programming
• design patterns
• exception handling

Mastery of core APIs, such as collections, streams, and concurrency frameworks

System Design and Architecture:

Knowledge of software architecture patterns like:

• microservices
• serverless architectures

Ability to design scalable and resilient systems, including databases and APIs

Frameworks and Technologies:

Familiarity with:

• Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate)
• Kotlin frameworks (Ktor) 3+ years

Proficiency in:

• cloud services (preferably Microsoft Azure)
• containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with

• CI/CD pipelines,
• monitoring, and logging tools

Ability to troubleshoot and optimize backend systems
