Software Engineer III, Data Infrastructure, Chrome OS

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience with on-device low-level programming (e.g., building daemons for firmware log collection).
• Experience with building or handling on-device logs, log collection, and transportation, using Rust, C++, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop on-device data collection and transportation mechanisms.
• Propose and develop solutions to existing telemetry infrastructure for errors, firmware crashes, and vendor module metrics.
• Bring ability to add new services and improve system reliability and maintainability.
• Implement app integrations with existing app frameworks and on-device services.
