Position: Project Control Manager
Location: Lusail
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly competent Project Control and Reporting Manager to lead the planning, cost control, risk management, and reporting functions across a portfolio of 13 infrastructure/local road projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Project Director to ensure project strategies align with cost, time, and profitability targets while maintaining strict control over risk exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning Management:
- Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules (Primavera P6 or equivalent).
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to align the schedule with actual site progress.
- Maintain baseline and look-ahead schedules, and propose recovery plans when needed.
2. Cost Control:
- Establish, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cost control system.
- Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and update forecasts.
- Generate detailed cost reports with variance analysis and recommendations.
3. Risk Management:
- Identify and assess project risks across all 13 projects.
- Develop risk mitigation and avoidance plans in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor risk triggers and take proactive action before issues materialize.
- Ensure early warnings and recommendations are communicated clearly and promptly to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
4. Procedures and Processes:
- Develop and enforce project control processes for planning, cost, and risk.
- Standardize reporting templates, workflows, and communication protocols across all projects.
- Ensure documentation and control measures are audit-ready and aligned with company policies.
5. KPIs and Strategy Alignment:
- Define and monitor KPIs for schedule, cost, productivity, and risk.
- Prepare monthly performance dashboards and highlight deviations.
- Work closely with the Project Director to set project strategies, profit targets, and operational goals.
- Participate in strategic planning and forecasting sessions.
6. Reporting:
- Consolidate project data into high-level executive reports.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and timeliness of all reporting outputs.
- Prepare materials for internal and client meetings.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 20+ years of experience in project control, cost, and planning roles within infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, cost control software, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience in multi-project environments and strong coordination capabilities.
Must have valid QID and NOC.
