About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the JET Transactional Comms team, have a direct impact on how we communicate to millions of customers through different notification channels, and improve our customer communications at Just Eat Takeaway.

The team is responsible for JET's centralised notification system, enabling other teams to focus on their domains, removing a burden from engineering teams who only need to let the customer know their food is on the way. This is a high impact team, focused on our communications via email, sms, push notifications and other media. Security, stability and scalability are key areas of our tooling as we work on new features and improve existing functionality.

Hybrid role: 3 days a week from our London office 2 days working from home

These Are Some Ingredients To The Role

• Collaborate with the team to produce high-quality software which fits the team’s expectations and best practices
• Contribute to the definition of product features, getting involved in workshops with other engineering teams and Product Managers
• Ensure continuous improvements by proposing and implementing new processes, designs and engineering practices that make the team more effective
• Transparently communicate your progress and discuss ideas with your team and Technology Manager.
• Get involved in the definition of product features and workshops with your team.
  
  

What will you bring to the table?

• Passionate, desire to learn and able to work with others.
• Knowledge in C# with an understanding of the .NET ecosystem.
• Knowledge of the AWS platform (or similar e.g Azure, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, like DynamoDB or CosmosDB
• Interest in testing your code (Unit, Integration, E2E etc)
• Good collaboration skills (we’re advocates of inner-sourced software development at JET!).
