The opportunity
We're currently looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer – Global Outbound Logistics & Network Development to join our Outbound Logistics Engineering team and enhance and optimise Polestar's vehicle and distribution processes. We seek someone with a passion for electric mobility, an interest in technology, and a desire to create the change we know is needed.
The Outbound Logistics Engineering & Freight Cost Management Team consists of six Senior Engineers and Experts. The team ensure the network is developed through change and that carriers and external stakeholders are paid accordingly.
This position is located at our Gothenburg, Sweden HQ. We believe in a hybrid model for remote and onsite work, recognising that both in-person collaboration and individual time to focus are essential. What matters most is that people get the time and support to do what needs to be done, and to enjoy doing it, of course.
The Responsibilities
The Senior Logistic Engineer within Global Outbound Logistics Engineering & Network Development is responsible for the strategic design, optimisation, and execution of the global outbound logistics network. This role ensures efficiency, cost control, and sustainability in global and multimodal logistics operations, driving improvements in network performance, route planning, and infrastructure utilisation. As a strategic Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in contract management, RFQ sourcing, financial oversight, and digital transformation to support global and regional supply chain strategies.
In this role, you will act as a key stakeholder to ensure that processes, systems, and supplier preconditions are engineered to support the best possible output within Global Outbound Logistics. Through close collaboration with local and global peers, you will ensure optimal performance in distribution from our factories to Polestar’s handover locations.
Given the strategic nature of this role, emphasis will be placed on structural improvements. You will develop and follow up on distribution processes to best support Polestar’s Direct-to-Consumer business model. You will lead the distribution network development with our partners and related global stakeholders. You will work both externally and internally, improving and/or setting the standard distribution processes. You will develop distribution strategies that optimise supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, you will work in close cooperation with Polestar’s Order-to-Delivery and Logistics teams, Procurement, Finance, and IT teams to enhance development.
See below for a more thorough breakdown of the various tasks and areas you'll be responsible for:
You are a proactive team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude and organisational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multitask. You possess a strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving competence. Your broad experience in communicating with different stakeholders means you have strong multi-disciplinary skills in business and financial analytics, modelling, strategic planning, and negotiation. Additionally, you are comfortable travelling when required and have a thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods.
This combination of skills and attributes makes you an ideal candidate for driving improvements and ensuring operational excellence in our logistics and distribution processes.
In Addition, You'll Need The Following
The process
If the above matches your ambitions, be sure to apply. Applications will initially close on 28th April.
