Software Engineer, Vertex AI Platform

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in software development (e.g., C++, Python), and with data structures/algorithms.
• 2 years of experience with backend software development.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a technical related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with AI or Machine Learning.

The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy robust, easy-to-use and scalable Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning platform capabilities. Expect to focus on platform usability, high availability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.
• Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
• Design, develop, and implement of scalable and reliable Vertex AI capabilities on Google Cloud.
• Advocate the adoption and optimization of new technologies and best practices within the team.
• Implement robust testing and validation processes to ensure consistent, reliable production services.
