DevOps & Backend Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic DevoOps & Backend Engineer to join our team.

Position Overview: As a DevOps & Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering and maintaining the Opus Billing partsystem of our platform. This includes contributing to feature design, development, deployment, and testing. You’ll work hands-on with technologies like AWS: CDK, Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, EventBridge, in an environment that values highscalability, performance, creativity, and collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings solid engineering fundamentals, startup energy, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage tech company with ambitious goals and tight feedback loops.

Key Responsibilities:

Databases

• Manage Relational databases (replicas, backups, recovery)
• Design relational scalable data structure (indexing, table relations, design patterns in the database)
• Work with DynamoDB and Postgres RDS

Code development and maintenance

• Write clean, modular, readable code on NestJs, ORM tools
• Write tests
• Ensure reliability of the code
• Collaborate with developers
• Strong sense of ownership of the software development
• Work with and improve legacy or existing codebase

Continuous Learning

• Flexibility to adapt cutting edge yet stable technologies
• Improve continuously

DevOps

• Ability to write work and develop CI/CD pipelines on Github Actions
• Design and deploy IaC tools like AWS CDK, Terraform
• Operate in microservice ecosystem
• Intermediate understanding of AWS ecosystem and core services (ECS, S3, Lambda, etc)

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software EngineeringArtificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in a relevant engineering or development role, ideally within a tech company or startup.
• Experience with AWS: CDK, Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, EventBridge
