Job Purpose
Are you our next leader in software product development looking to make a significant impact? We are seeking a Manager, Software Product Development to lead and mentor a local team of software developers, DevOps and QA professionals. This role requires a strategic and technically strong leader who can drive engineering excellence, ensure alignment across teams, and scale software development operations to meet business goals.
In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager Software Development and collaborate closely with a globally diverse team of Software Engineering Managers responsible for development, QA, and DevOps.
Ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality software solutions, leveraging your experience in overall software development and quality for embedded software systems.
Job Description
- Lead and develop a team of Software developers, DevOps and QAs working actively on exciting projects.
- Nurture chapters of QA, DevOps and Software Development.
- Oversee sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and progress tracking.
- Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of all software products.
- Support implementation and optimization of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Drive continuous improvement, staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop top engineering talent.
- Support team resource allocation and competency, ensuring teams are set up for success.
- Mentor and develop technical talents, building a strong culture of accountability, ownership, and technical excellence.
- BSc. or MSc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software development, DevOps or software QA engineering experience.
- Proven experience leading Software Engineers.
- Strong background in software development, architecture, embedded systems, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.
- Candidates must be able to legally reside and work in Norway without sponsorship
This position will be based in one of the following sites: Kongsberg.
