Senior User Interface Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Web UI Engineer to design and develop user-centric interfaces for web and mobile applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create seamless digital experiences that align with project goals and delight users.

This is for permanent employment with our client - a multinational information technology services and consulting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces for web and mobile platforms.
• Translate project requirements into functional UI components in collaboration with design and development teams.
• Implement visually appealing and interactive elements such as buttons, forms, and menus using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure responsiveness and cross-platform compatibility across a wide range of devices and browsers.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on UI improvements.
• Work alongside back-end developers and designers to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Gather and act on feedback from users, clients, and internal teams to drive continuous UI improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design and development.
• Contribute to mobile-first design strategies and implementation.

Requirements:

• With a minimum 8 years of hands-on UI engineering role.
• Expert-level proficiency in ReactJS (version <16.8.0), React Hooks, Redux, Redux middleware, unit testing frameworks, ES6, HTML, CSS (including preprocessors), Webpack, CI/CD pipelines, Spinnaker, and MongoDB.
• Strong foundation in core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proven experience in writing and maintaining unit tests.
• Familiarity with templating languages like Handlebars and JSX.
• Clear and confident communicator, capable of articulating technical challenges and solutions effectively.
• Self-driven with a strong desire to learn and adapt to evolving technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable communicating via various channels including email, chat, and meetings.
