Senior Flutter Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Flutter Software Engineer with a strong background in Android development using Kotlin to join our collaborative team. As we migrate our native application to Flutter, you will play a crucial role in heading the development process and ensuring a seamless integration while maintaining the highest standards of performance and quality.

Responsibilities


  • Spearhead the migration of a native Android application to Flutter, ensuring efficient and seamless transitions
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performing, reusable, and reliable code using Flutter and Dart
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to define, design, and ship new features
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues promptly to ensure smooth app performance
  • Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and responsiveness
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Flutter, Dart, and Android/Kotlin development
  • Implement and maintain automated testing to ensure reliability and code quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of the application
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for future reference


Requirements


  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Flutter development
  • Expertise in Android development using Kotlin with 3+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code and following best practices in both Flutter and Kotlin
  • Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Understanding of modern design principles and patterns, including MVVM or similar
  • Capability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize for both Flutter and native Android platforms
  • Flexibility to adapt existing native functionalities for seamless integration with Flutter
  • Showcase of previous projects or apps developed in Flutter and Kotlin
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • B2 level of English or higher, with an emphasis on technical communication skills
  • Residence in Ukraine (remote work eligible only for candidates based in Ukraine)


Nice to have


  • Familiarity with state management solutions like Provider, Riverpod, or Bloc
  • Understanding of platform-specific integrations and custom native modules
  • Knowledge of Flutter-specific testing frameworks such as Widget or Integration tests
