  • Bachelor's degree with a technical emphasis (Construction, Economics and Management), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience managing multinational, executive, and dynamic technical programs or projects.
  • Experience in negotiating cost and schedule with key suppliers and demonstrating operationally in driving market value from awards.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in the construction of high technical facilities with responsibility for project control scope.
  • Experience working on project sites as well as in home office environments.
  • Understanding of accountability and ownership for end-to-end project life-cycle.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels of an organization with experience leading cross-functional process improvements and holding projects leads accountable to the greater project goals.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Google Data Center (GDC) Partner Teams and Engineering Groups to support the delivery and management of Google's Capital Expenditure program.
  • Lead with procurement and agreements teams the assessment, and awarding of Key suppliers across Google Data Center builds in EMEA.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of project controls with regard to commercial optimization along with alignment on the cost driven needs that create impact.
  • Support Data Center Project Managers and work directly with project teams at a site or regional level to support project control implementation including setup, training, execution and assurance.
  • Maintain project control performance specifications and ensure that awards are in line with key requirements including Earned Value alignment along with implementation of full project performance reporting.
