Software Engineer (PeopleSoft)

About the Opportunity

A highly collaborative ERP applications team is looking for a Software Engineer with strong PeopleSoft experience to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll be supporting and enhancing enterprise systems, with a focus on PeopleSoft and Oracle-based technologies.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and working within a supportive and high-performing environment. You’ll be joining a friendly team of seven, reporting to a highly engaged manager who values initiative and career development.

This is a hybrid role, requiring two to three days per week in the office. The contract also offers strong potential for extension or conversion to permanent, depending on performance and project needs.

Salary: Up to $130k (inclusive of super)

About You

We’re looking for a Software Engineer who brings:

• 3–5 years of experience in software development roles

• Strong SQL skills in Oracle environments

• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft (non-negotiable)

• BI Publisher experience is a bonus, but not essential

• A background in working with large enterprise systems, particularly ERP or HR platforms

• The ability to pick up new technologies quickly and solve problems independently

• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and enhance PeopleSoft and related ERP applications

• Develop and troubleshoot using SQL and Oracle tools

• Translate user and business requirements into technical solutions

• Contribute to continuous improvement and system upgrade initiatives

• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Participate in knowledge sharing within a friendly and experienced team
