Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a machine learning engineer with GIS experience to join a fast-paced and high-caliber deep tech startup developing dual use satellite technologies for Defence & natural resources.

You'll be responsible for designing, building, and deploying machine learning models to solve high-end, time-critical problems. You will also support customers and partners by troubleshooting any of their software issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models at scale
• Work closely with data scientists and product teams to productionise ML solutions
• Build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to support model development
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance over time
• Research and experiment with new tools, techniques, and frameworks

What We're Looking For:

• PhD or master's degree from a top engineering school with demonstrated curriculum in ML AND satellite technologies
• At least 2 years' of experience as ML engineer AND using satellite and/or geographic data (you need to be at ease using typical data formats, geographic systems, technical and theoretical concepts)
• Strong experience with Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn etc.)
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and principles
• Experience deploying models into production environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (OVH, AWS, Outscale) and MLOps tools
• Good knowledge of data processing tools (Pandas, SQL, Spark etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience with highly secured platforms
• Understanding of data privacy, security, and ethical AI principles
• Any experience with front-end development
