Head of Artificial Intelligence

I'm currently supporting a well-backed SaaS scale-up on a mission to reshape how global companies navigate product compliance and market access — through applied Generative AI.

They’ve already begun integrating LLMs and intelligent agents across their platform and are now hiring a Head of AI to lead this transformation into a fully AI-powered offering — moving from software-as-a-service to what they’re calling “results-as-a-service”.

Here’s a snapshot of the opportunity:

🔹 Build & scale an internal AI function — growing a high-performing team of engineers & scientists

🔹 Drive vision & hands-on strategy across GenAI, NLP, data pipelines, and inference at scale

🔹 Architect AI agents that automate complex regulatory tasks using varied unstructured data

🔹 Collaborate directly with the CTO and cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven product capabilities

🔹 Be the internal champion of AI across the company, while shaping externally-visible thought leadership

🧠 Ideal profile they’re looking for:

• 15+ years of experience in Data Science / AI in commercial environments
• Proven record of leading AI teams and scaling generative AI into production
• Strong depth in ML, data engineering, and cloud-native architectures
• Proficiency with Python and modern ML libraries; experience with AWS is a plus
• Ability to set technical direction while remaining hands-on when needed
