Back End Developer

We are looking for experienced backend engineers to support the development of a cloud-based adapter layer that integrates APIs with multiple digital experiences. The goal is to modernize the current solution and move it to the cloud, ensuring scalability and alignment with a modern target architecture.

This role focuses on abstracting business logic within the adapter services to enable smooth integration across platforms and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a backend service using TypeScript and NestJS or NodeJS that acts as an adapter layer consuming APIs and integrating them into the system landscape.
• Design a modular and scalable architecture in collaboration with internal teams, following Open API specifications to support seamless integration.
• Abstract business logic within the adapter service while enabling efficient tunneling, transformation, and translation of API data.
• Implement cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform with a strong emphasis on offline resiliency to support operations across more than 450 locations globally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience in backend development using TypeScript and NestJS or NodeJS.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying cloud-based services, with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform.
• Solid understanding of API integration, especially with Open API specifications, and experience working with multiple external systems.
• Experience building CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in architecting solutions that include offline resiliency for systems supporting global operations.
• Ability to build services that abstract and manage business logic effectively, ensuring clear separation between adapter and consuming layers.
