DATA ARCHITECT

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Data Architect for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is the world’s leading cryptocurrency wallet company, which is designed to provide users with access to Web3, facilitating online payments and the exchange of digital assets through blockchain. It supports millions of assets across 100+ blockchains, including major chains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Cosmos, and Polkadot. The application combines a web-based browser and a complete security audited system to send, receive, and store digital assets as well as synchronize with tokens issued on the Ethereum blockchain, enabling users to exchange bitcoins, currencies, and assets in real-time, interact with any decentralized application and have complete control of their Ethereum-based collectibles. We are seeking a Data Architect with a strong background in building large-scale data infrastructure in the crypto/Web3 industry. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines that power analytics and data products across the ecosystem.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in data engineering.
Commercial experience in the crypto/Web3 industry on production-grade data pipelines and infrastructure.
Experience in the architecture a robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructure on AWS.
Solid understanding of data modeling, SQL, and database concepts.
Knowledge of data lake architecture and ETL pipeline development.
Deep understanding of AWS services, including but not limited to S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, and IAM.
Knowledge of Airbyte for data ingestion and transformation.
Experience writing services and connectors in Go, particularly for data pipeline automation.
Familiarity with Python, Bash, or other automation and data manipulation scripting languages.
Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, and modern warehousing principles.
Proven experience implementing data security, encryption, and governance best practices in cloud environments.

Nice To Have

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Looker, or QuickSight.
Familiarity with data warehouse solutions, particularly in the AWS ecosystem (e.g., Redshift, Athena).

Responsibilities

Design and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructure on AWS, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and best practices.
Architect and oversee the development of data pipelines, utilizing tools like Airbyte and custom-built services in Go to automate data ingestion and ETL processes efficiently.
Lead the creation and management of the data lake, focusing on efficient storage solutions, high data quality, effective partitioning, organization, performance optimization, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
Integrate tools like Airbyte with diverse data sources and customize data flows to meet specific business requirements. Develop custom connectors in Go when necessary to support unique data integration needs.
Optimize data pipelines and data lake storage for enhanced performance and scalability, ensuring low latency and high availability to support business operations.
Implement and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within AWS, including access control, encryption, and continuous monitoring to safeguard data assets.
Collaborate closely with platform engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements. Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
