Assistant / Project Manager - Client Side – Projects to $80m

Looking for a candidate that is passionate about construction with excellent communication and client facing skills coupled with a positive can do attitude.


Known as one of the leading firms in the delivery of building projects, this is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking, professional and dynamic project management consultancy.


Candidates can come from client side, consultancy or head contractor background and ideally have experience working on similar large scale projects from inception through to delivery of the projects.


Projects include Mixed-use, Commercial and Retail new builds, similar experience would be ideal however the projects are across multiple sectors generally. Projects range in value from smaller up to $80m+ but have had projects up to $300m+ prior.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Client management and consultation
  • Project Planning/Feasibility studies
  • Design Management
  • Liaison with authorities for DA submission
  • Risk Management
  • Value Engineering
  • Design Management and Value Engineering
  • Procurement of construction services
  • Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent of construction delivery
  • Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
  • Oversight and delivery of the project


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar
  • Minimum 2 + experience within the construction industry
  • Sound understanding of overall construction programmes and plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level Interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within a team environment
  • Ability to build rapport at all levels
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Previous client side project management experience is ideal
