how you will contribute

As the Product Owner for our B2B client portal, you will play a pivotal role in Randstad's global digital transformation. You will be the voice of our customers, driving the development of a unified and streamlined client experience across 39 countries within the Order to Cash domain. Your focus will be on optimizing processes like assignments, timesheets, invoicing, and more, ensuring both exceptional user experience and technical integrity. You will collaborate with diverse teams to translate business needs into a prioritized backlog, deliver features that delight clients, and contribute to a world-class B2B platform supporting multiple services.


who will you work with

You will collaborate closely with a dedicated scrum team (including designers, business analysts, developers, QAs, and architects) to deliver the best user experience. You'll also work with fellow Product Owners and Product Managers to align on feature placement and dependencies, ensuring a cohesive product ecosystem. Your global stakeholders will be key partners in defining requirements and setting priorities, and you will act as a representative for your products across our 39 global markets.


what you will be doing

  • Translate the needs and expectations of the business into a backlog of features needed to achieve strategic goals and meet requirements.
  • Develop the product vision together with the product team (user research, product management, design, tech architecture)
  • Helping the team define tech solutions and APIs to ensure the best experience for our clients
  • Own team backlog and implementation and establishes the sequence of backlog items based on program priorities, and dependencies with other teams
  • Interact with business stakeholders for requirements gathering and demos
  • Collaborate to assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories and Epics to ensure work aligns with product strategy
  • Guide agile team to refine requirements into Epics and User Stories and ensure they’re clearly understood
  • Drive the continuous improvement efforts to best meet users’ expectations and feedback.
  • Establishes story acceptance criteria, accepts stories into the baseline.
  • Functional testing of ‘done’ backlog items
  • Key participant in all team ceremonies (daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review/demo, and retrospective)
  • Manage cross-product dependencies and integrations
  • Educate the scrum team on market, competitors and customer needs


your background

You have at least 2 years of experience as a Product Owner, IT Business Analyst, or Product Manager in designing and developing digital products, ideally within a B2B environment. We value candidates who have also previously worked in operational roles (e.g., customer experience, recruiting, IT project manager, QA), demonstrating a strong understanding of user needs.

You are a data-driven decision-maker with experience in managing people and projects. Regardless of your formal IT background, you possess strong technical aptitude and a passion for learning about new technologies to optimize your work.

Given our global team and user base, you thrive in diverse cultural environments and possess excellent communication skills, demonstrating the flexibility needed to succeed in an international context.


Next to that, you bring;

  • Proficiency with JIRA & Confluence (or similar product management tools).
  • Working knowledge of product development methodologies.
  • A solid understanding of software architecture principles and components, as well as design quality standards.
  • Experience with analytic tools.
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (essential).
  • Experience working with large teams in a matrix environment.
  • Comfort and experience working with hybrid and remote teams.
  • CSPO or PSPO certification preferred
