Salt is excited to collaborate with one of the worlds largest FMCG Giants as they source for a Data Scientist to join their team on a ASAP starting, 6 month contract (intention to further extend). In this role, you will leverage your strong analytical skills to drive data-driven decision-making across various aspects of the business, from supply chain optimisation to consumer insights. This role involves analysing large datasets, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to improve their products and services.
This is a fully remote role but you must be able to work to EU/UK hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse large and complex datasets: assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing
- Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms
- Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models
- Utilise machine learning algorithms to improve product recommendations and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow and infrastructure support.
- Generate actionable insights for business improvements
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is an essential for this role
- Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
- Previous experience of working on AI focused projects
- Fluency in a programming language (Python, C,C++, Java, SQL)
- Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualisation tools
