The Role

Our service is provided through a software platform that includes heterogeneous products such as web applications and several desktop applications for different operating systems. Your work will be to keep the user friendliness and clarity of the interfaces while respecting the visual identity of the products.

As an experienced developer, you will be a key part of the team. You will take part in the design decisions and will have direct contact with the end users for receiving feedback and analyzing their requests.

Your primary responsibilities within the team involve:

• Develop and maintain several frontend applications based on Angular and Electron.
• Write and maintain project related documentation, both for internal and customer use.
• Ensure the quality of the product by creating easily readable and reliable code.
• Contributing to the ongoing development efforts to ensure customer success.
• Proactiveness on the day-to-day interactions between the different members and departments of the HPC unit.
  
  

In this role, your reporting line is to the Team lead of HPC software development. We offer hybrid work arrangements but since most of the team is based in Lugo (Galicia, Spain), we would prefer the candidates to reside in the region or nearby.

Is this you?

To excel in this role, it is essential to possess extensive knowledge of software development. You have completed academic studies in computer science, informatics, a related field or have enough experience that avails you of it. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role is required, accompanied by a documented track record of it.

Fluency in spoken and written English is a prerequisite, and proficiency in Spanish/Galician or Swedish would be considered an additional asset.

We believe you possess a well-rounded skill set that includes proficiency in the following toolkits:

• A modern web framework like React/Vue/Angular (Angular preferred)
• Linux based environments
• Versioning systems as GIT
• Design knowledge and an aesthetic touch
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge and experience in frontend software development.
