DevOps Engineer

For our client based in St. Gallen, we are currently seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Linux system administration, hands-on experience in managing on-premises infrastructure, and ideally solid knowledge of Kubernetes.

Your Role

• Maintain and continuously improve our current IT infrastructure with a focus on reliability and performance
• Design and implement scalable, secure IT architectures tailored to business requirements
• Install, configure, migrate, monitor, and harden Kubernetes clusters, primarily in on-premises environments
• Evolve CI/CD pipelines in line with technical and operational changes
• Integrate third-party applications and software components into the existing systems
• Act as a key player in DevOps processes, particularly within on-prem infrastructure setups
• Collaborate with developers on both short-term fixes and long-term projects

Your Profile

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems (Red Hat) and containerized environments
• Practical background in managing on-premises infrastructure using DevOps principles
• Confident working with CI/CD and version control tools like GitLab, Jenkins, SVN, and Argo CD
• Solid understanding of networking and the IP protocol stack
• Skilled in automation using Ansible and scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• Capable of writing and understanding SQL queries
• Independent, structured, and focused on delivering high-quality, secure solutions
