We are currently seeking a talented and creative Web Designer with some IT Backup Solutions experience to join our team on a freelance basis. As a Web Designer, you will be responsible for designing and updating websites for our clients, ensuring they have a visually appealing and user-friendly online presence, as well as SEO and mobile devices optimized. This is a remote position open to candidates based in the Eastern Europe and South Africa.
Responsibilities
You will be working as a contractor under the JamPot Support Limited company name, therefore you are not a direct employee and only work as a contractor for our business.
The benefit of this structure means, all of our clients sign contracts directly with JamPot Support Limited and not you as the Contractor, therefore you are protected as a remote contractor as JamPot take care of the client service side of the function.
We are currently undertaking market research to determine the pay offered for this role and will talk with you openly around your personal earning experience and expectations. This will enable us to work with our client to ensure a fair renumeration is agreed for both parties.

Responsibilities
- Web Design
- Create visually compelling and engaging website designs (from scratch or redesigns)
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences and objectives
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups
- Design and optimize website visuals, including layout, graphics, and icons
- Create user interfaces that are intuitive and easy to navigate
- Optimize websites for mobile responsiveness and performance
- Implement SEO best practices (e.g., metadata, alt-text for images, page speed optimization)
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web design
- Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand guidelines
- Conduct testing to identify bugs, broken links, layout problems, and ensure compatibility across different web browsers before launching the site
- Execute new ways of working, utilising the latest softwares and models disruption the design industry.
- IT Backup Solutions
- Set-up and maintain backup systems (e.g., cloud storage or local storage solutions) to ensure that all important files are backed up regularly and make necessary upgrades if required
- Automate backup processes to minimize the risk of data loss
- Located in Eastern Europe or South Africa
- Proven experience as a Web Designer or similar role (preferrably with IONOS experience)
- Strong portfolio showcasing website designs
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization
- Experience with setting up and optimizing IT backup solutions
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
- Understanding of SEO principles and best practices
- Experience with animation and multimedia design
- Familiar with web accessibility standards
- Strong understanding of branding and visual identity
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Excellent creative and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
- Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas
- Registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) - This can be arranged at point of job offer
- Freelancer Professional Indemnity Insurance - This can be arranged at point of job offer
