DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.
We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.
The development manager leads the engineering teams that develop the Treasury Securitization Platform. The team’s main responsibility is to develop micro-services that process batch set of data as per the need of securitization business/
The applications are custom-developed, with main technologies in use being Java 17, Oracle 19, Batch Spring, Apache Airflow and python.
Our way of working is based on Agile principles.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the technical design for all Features assign tot the team
- Develop the most complex items or the templates the team need to adhere to
- Perform code review for the team members
- Ensures the architecture and technical design is documented and Knowledge Transfer is properly conducted
- Provides Subject Matter expertise to the team and stakeholders and ensures the resolution of technical problems.
- Identify and define all technical backlog
- Design, implement and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for all environments including production
- Manage the day-to-day activity of the development team.
- Recruiting – selecting and interviewing candidates, new hires on-boarding
- Performance goal setting, monitoring and appraisal for team members
- Coaching and mentoring the team
- Leads effort estimates
- Interface with stakeholders and SME’s (business and technical) from other locations
- Ensures adherence the SDLC governance and Definition of Done
Skills
- Hands on expertise with the following technologies: Java, Batch Spring, Oracle, Team City, Apache Airflow, Python, Bitbucket, Artifactory, New Relic, Splunk
- Experience implementing best engineering best practices for all engineers.
- Experience managing software developers in medium/large companies
- Experience in agile methodologies
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering. Information Technology or related technical field.
