This role is part of the Global Chief Security Office (CSO) - You will be responsible for the design, manage and enhance the organization’s email security infrastructure, implementing best practices to protect against email-based threats, and ensuring that email systems are secure, reliable and resilient against cyberattacks. This includes the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls, the evaluation and selection of security products and services. You will work closely with key stakeholders across IT, networks, operations, architecture, and production support functions.

What You’ll Do


  • Design, Deploy and manage email security solutions such as email filtering platforms, anti-spam systems, threat detection & response and malware scanning technology.
  • Deliver project milestones by involving internal and external teams
  • Manage vendor appliance product hosted on-premises & SaaS, liaison with centralized support team, platform engineering team and other infra team on stability of the platform.
  • Serve as the primary owner/contact for email security applications, ensuring their smooth operation and alignment with business objective and responding to and investigating email-based security incidents/audit actions.
  • Ensure that email security practices align with relevant regulatory frameworks and internal security policies.
  • Stay updated with the latest email security threats, trends and technologies. Drive improvements to enhance the overall email security strategy.
  • Maintain reports, logs, and documentation on email security incidents, trends and improvements. Provide regular updates to management on the status of security posture.
  • Monitor performance and Ensure critical KPI, SLA and deliverables are met on a regular basis.
  • Centralised Risk, Assumption, Issue and Dependency Management


Skills You’ll Need


  • Strong Hands-on experience with email security platforms such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, Barracuda etc.
  • Good experience with email protocols and security standards such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS etc.
  • Strong understanding of phishing techniques and anti-phishing strategies, email encryption and DLP solutions.
  • Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) systems
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to email security such as GDPR, HIPPA etc.
  • Prior experience providing L3 engineering support for Email Security products and messaging platforms that are used worldwide
  • Scripting or automation skills such as Python, PowerShell etc.
  • A highly proactive, self-starter with strong work ethics, high level of professionalism with problem solving skills.
  • Experienced in working with multi-cultural/global teams and enterprise level projects.
  • Exceptional level of communication and leadership skills to lead triages for production incidents.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, maintaining attention to detail.
  • ITIL process awareness and working knowledge of change/incident/problem management.


Technical Skills:


  • Operating System: UNIX/RHEL Administration
  • Messaging: M365, Exchange Server, Email Migration
  • Programming Language: Python, Shell Programming


Skills That Will Help You Excel


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Logical, innovative, articulate, with the proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with technical and non-technical teams and individuals
  • Highly proactive self-starting ethos, strong customer focus, strong work ethic, and exceptional problem-solving skills
