- Lead requirements gathering sessions with clients using various techniques including workshops, interviews, brainstorming, use cases, and prototyping.
- Document as-is and to-be business processes and assist in identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and assess automation potential using defined ROI and feasibility criteria.
- Create high-quality functional documents, business cases, white papers, and case studies to support project and presales initiatives.
- Prepare standard and ad-hoc presentation decks to explain functional and technical aspects of insurance solutions, tailored to different audiences.
- Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for development teams.
- Engage closely with developers, QA teams, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery aligned with business goals.
- Support presales activities, including RFP responses, solution demos, and stakeholder engagements, especially from a domain perspective.
- Facilitate Program Increment (PI) and sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews to maintain alignment between business and technical teams.
- Provide oversight and coordination throughout the entire solution lifecycle, ensuring CoE standards, toll gates, and delivery controls are enforced.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for client communications and delivery execution.
- Minimum 7+ years of total experience, with at least 5 years as a Business Analyst/Functional Consultant in the insurance industry.
- Strong domain expertise in Life, Health, Property & Casualty insurance products and their operational workflows (underwriting, claims, policy admin, customer service).
- Familiarity with insurance laws, regulations, and compliance practices.
- Practical experience with insurance-specific platforms, such as Guidewire and Duck Creek.
- Demonstrated ability to develop content for RFPs, create artefacts, and conduct presales support.
- Solid experience in data analysis, UAT, product documentation, and process mapping.
- Awareness of technologies impacting the insurance sector, such as AI, RPA (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism), Blockchain, and IoT.
- Experience delivering presentations and decks across multiple levels of stakeholders (functional and technical).
- AINS, LOMA, CPCU
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (a plus)
- Strong consultative and facilitation skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to break down complex processes and identify efficient solutions.
- Ability to work across diverse teams and effectively influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
