We’re looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our client’s dynamic infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to step into a technically rich environment where your expertise in networking and problem-solving will be key to maintaining and enhancing a complex IT landscape. Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer, you'll play a central role in maintaining and improving the reliability, performance, and security of a large-scale network environment. Your core responsibilities will include:

Troubleshooting and resolving complex networking issues
Providing daily operational support and participating in on-call rotations
Monitoring, managing, and continuously optimizing network infrastructure
Engaging in network and security projects, including implementations and migrations
Contributing to the continuous improvement of network architecture and operations

Key Technical Skills & Tools

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to bring solid hands-on experience across a broad range of networking technologies. The technical landscape includes:

Advanced WAN knowledge, including MPLS and SD-WAN
Strong command of routing (BGP, OSPF) and switching (CDP/LLDP, VLAN, VTP, STP)
Deep familiarity with core network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IPSEC
Experience with Cisco switching (core and access layers) and Cisco wireless (WLC)
Authentication via 802.1X with Radius
Privileged access management using CyberArk
Network performance tuning and capacity planning
Integration and management of enterprise WANs, including third-party providers
Daily monitoring through PRTG and documentation using Visio
Network packet analysis with Wireshark
Tier 2-3 support in IT incident resolution
Exposure to VMware ESXi and vSphere in a virtualized environment

The Ideal Candidate

You bring a structured and analytical approach, enjoy solving complex problems, and work well both independently and in a team. Ideally, your profile includes:

A proven background in enterprise networking environments
Certifications such as CCNA or PCNSA (preferred but not required)
A bonus: familiarity with ArcServe for backup and recovery management
Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English (required)
