As an Android Engineer in the Search and Discovery team, your role is to implement and contribute to the development of our beautifully designed consumer app. You will be at the forefront of our Wolt consumer app, building features that impact millions of users by tailoring our discovery landing page and search experience.

You’ll work closely with our designer, analyst, product lead, and fellow engineers as we balance our efforts helping our customers to discover their needs from our ever-growing selection while maintaining engineering excellence. You will be involved in building and supporting discovery and search surfaces throughout the entire Android consumer app, driving overall Discovery-to-venue conversion, ensuring seamless and engaging user journey. You will also have ownership of quality assurance and solidifying our telemetry logic to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.

Our humble expectations

• At least 3 years developing Android applications
• Testing ownership mindset (i.e. owning the whole cycle of development - not just developing features, but actually making sure they’re defect free, shipping them into customers’ hands)
• Production app monitoring and troubleshooting experience
• Capable and self-sufficient in driving the impact not only from tech but from work management perspective as well (e.g. slicing stories into technical tasks etc)
• Big plus - being able to carry projects by themselves with minimum interventions from TL & PL - e.g. talk to a designer to gather missing requirements, create epic(s)/tickets etc
• Desire to build beautiful animations (with the help of our Motion Designer)
• Clear communication style
• Experience working in multi-team development environment
• Android, Kotlin & Coroutines, Compose, Koin, MVI, Modularization, Maestro
