Senior Software Developer, Full stack (Helsinki)

Our Elisa consumer Webshop development team is growing.

We are now looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer.

In this role you will join us in developing consumer customer Webshop elisa.fi/kauppa.

Who are we? We are Elisa Online Services and Growth - an agile group in Elisa’s Digital Services unit developing online services for our consumer customers. We are about 100 software professionals in multiple teams and Webshop development team is one of those. Elisa provides us a solid foundation to continuously develop ourselves to be even more agile and what we do directly affects all Elisa’s current and future customers so what we do really matters and has value.

About The Job

In this role you will join our multitalented and multicultural team to develop Webshop. Main tasks beside the actual coding will be refining new features and splitting the requirements into smaller stories, improving and maintaining codebase, performing code reviews, test automation and DevOps tasks.

We are experimenting and analyzing data to develop new features with a customer focus approach. In our development we utilize a wide variety of DevOps tools and methods, like Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. You will benefit significantly from all kinds of experience and interest in DevOps, CI/CD and data analyzing.

Our team uses agile methodologies, and we are proud of the quality of our code. You will enjoy your role if you thrive in a team environment, since we like working closely together. We expect that you have experience in guiding and mentoring others and doing code reviews. You are fully aware that testing and documentation are vital parts of software development, and you do them accordingly. You’re eager to explore our codebase and to weigh our working methods and you know how to push things to be solved.

Your position will be located in our HQ at Pasila, Helsinki. We at Elisa believe in the importance of face-to-face interaction in maintaining and developing our culture as well as strengthening the sense of belonging and sense of community. We have a hybrid work model in place, where the expectation is that Elisians will work on average three days a week at the office.

What do we expect from you?

We expect you to be Full Stack developer, but your focus can be more either on Frontend or Backend development. Our stack is wide but the most used techs are Java and React. We expect you to have several years of experience in Java and JavaScript.

• You have several years of solid experience in modern software development
• Java and JavaScript are very familiar to you
• You are a team player and have experience working in an agile team
• When needed you foster things proactively
• You are familiar with Accessibility, SEO
  
  

Our working language is English but Finnish language skills are an advantage.

Here are most of the techs we’re using: Java, Maven, JavaScript, React, Redux, CSS/LESS, Github Actions, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch/Kibana, Docker, SQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Node.js, Contentful, Conductrics, Google Analytics, Cypress.io, Robot Framework, Mocha. All the experience from these techs will benefit you but we are always looking for new techs and ways to do stuff.
