📄 JOB DESCRIPTION

Today we're looking for a Java developer to join our Fraud team in VeepeeTech.

At Veepee, you will be responsible for the development and management of products aimed at preventing fraudulent transactions within Veepee's ecosystem. You will focus primarily on the pre-authorization and post-authorization processes, analyzing transactions and data to generate scoring and advice on whether to approve or deny transactions. We seek an expert with extensive Spring Boot backend development experience and, if possible, familiarity with financial systems. You will contribute to key projects such as implementing business logic, optimizing performance, ensuring security, and collaborating with other internal teams.

🎯 TASKS

• Develop new and redesign existing features of our products;
• Fraud Management System: Develop a synchronous fraud detection system using Kafka for asynchronous event processing and business rule engines to return fraud advice.
• Internal Operations Backoffice: Creat an internal system to automate data management and business actions. Implemented control dashboards in Grafana for real-time monitoring of service activity.
• Suggest interfaces and other possible improvements that might be done;
• Keep the code clean and review your team members’ designs if needed;
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of developed applications;
• Respect the production deadlines;
• Review the legacy code in order to avoid production bugs;
• Write technical documentation;
• Handle the technical interviews with other developers willing to join

👉 MUST HAVE skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development;
• Hands-on experience with Java (Spring boot);
• Microservices Architecture: Design and deployment in Kubernetes and Docker;
• Asynchronous Messaging: Experience with Kafka and real- time event processing;
• Monitoring and Logging: Configuration of Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana for proactive service monitoring;
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB, MySQL & Postgresql) databases;
• You are familiar with cloud programming tools and willing to extend your knowledge;
• You assure the quality of your code with unit and integration tests;
• You have experience in building APIs or other web services;You are fluent in English;
• You are an agile follower and open source contributor;
• You have experience coordinating small teams of developers;
• You are result and product-oriented.
