Mobile Software Engineer

The Customer Online Services unit develops customer facing web and mobile solutions in Fortum Consumer Solutions. Our responsibility covers all affiliated Fortum brands, geographical markets and customer segments. All development is done inhouse by our experienced developer teams with people located in the Nordic countries and Poland.

We at Fortum Consumer Solutions are now looking for fullstack developers to join our mobile app team.

 

For this position, you need to be located close to our offices in Helsinki, Stockholm or Oslo. We expect you to work from the office at least two days per week.

 

About The Role

• Develop and maintain complex React Native applications
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and backend developers
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high code quality and best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Stay updated with the latest trends in React Native and mobile development
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment
• Provide input on technical decisions regarding tools, patterns, and platforms
• Ensure the responsiveness and efficiency of applications across various devices and screen sizes
• Contribute to developing and sustaining effective teams across product teams and country boarders
• Contribute to the agile team’s success and delivery
• Work closely with colleagues based in the Nordics and in Poland, some travel will occur.
  
  
  

About You

• A higher degree in Software Engineering or relevant experience from similar work
• Extensive experience with React Native development
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with a focus on ES6+ features
• Proficiency in cross-platform mobile app development (iOS and Android)
• Experience with backend technologies and RESTful/GraphQL API integration
• Work experience with agile methodology like Scrum or similar
• You are a team player who is confident to take responsibility for your own tasks
• Experience with Azure cloud or similar
