Software Engineer (Golang)

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with DevOps skills to join our team.

Within our project we develop Automated Service Provisioning and Configuration platform that provides an environment for:

- automated project onboarding

- configuration of projects for the services of the Automation Core Framework.

This enables accelerated onboarding for teams and applications in reproducible environments.

In providing this service we support the Company's Technology Tribes in the automated provisioning and configuration of Automation Core Services.

We work within an international agile team, have product increments on a regular basis, use modern technologies and methods like GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, CaaS, k8s, Helm, Flux, Kafka, istio, Python&GO etc.

The project language is English.

🔎We we expect from a candidate with SWE/DevOps mindset:

Mandatory skills:

• 3 years+ development in object oriented programming languages such as Python and Go
• knowledge of application and network security, Service Mesh technologies (istio, kiali etc.), Bash scripting and Linux skills
• knowledge of container and cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Flux), their lifecycle and related tools, GitLab, Keycloak, Vault
• expertise in Grafana, Prometeus, Loki
• English: fluent in spoken and written
• proactive, communicative, and self-organized (team player)
• security, automation and API first mindset
• readiness for strive for eliminating toil, manual tasks and for simplicity
• creativity, don´t expect every work task to be imperatively described (co-creation of User Stories)

Optional skills:

• terraform provider development experience
• JFrog Artifactory/Nexus etc. architecture experience
• expertise with external cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Elastic

• software development for highly available and geo redundant setups, feature analysis, iterative POC development, proactive documentation of designs and results
• maintenance responsibility of our team's applications, K8s clusters and their operation
• development and deployment via GitOps and Flux
• developing documentation of the product solution, creating how-tos for colleagues and continuously updating the public user guide
• proactive treatment of application alerts
• contact for second line maintenace
• writing scripts & tools for DevOps enhancement
