Executive - Infrastructure Operations

The opportunity

Reporting to Manager, Network Operations, the Executive – Infrastructure Operations will be part of Field Team responsible for providing on-site technical support in Data Centers across UAE hosting Core42 Server and Network equipment.

Core42 is the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Group’s expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Building on our capabilities as sovereign cloud and HPC specialist, we bring generative AI, cybersecurity, professional and managed services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries.

Responsibilities

• Establish network connectivity between systems as per the guidance and design specification given by the Network manager or Network engineer.
• Installing rack mountable equipment, hardware components and structured cabling.
• Replace faulty network hardware component as per demand by Network and System Engineers.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues within the network (including physical connectivity).
• Implement approved network infrastructure upgrades.
• Assisting the network administrator(s) in the form of requirements analysis, network application design, implementation, problem investigation and resolution, and network application evaluation.
• Collect the specifications of each system and maintain record of the same which can help for troubleshooting.
• Monitor and resolve trouble tickets raised by NOC and operations teams.
• Supervise subcontractors on site to ensure projects tasks are fully delivered to the right standards.
  
  

Qualifications

To qualify, you must have

• Network and power capacity planning experience.
• Hand on experience with installation and testing of structured cabling i.e. splicing fiber optic (ODF, cassettes, OTDR testing) terminating copper CAT6.
• Hands on experience with other network vendors is a plus.
• Working knowledge of network topologies (L1 &L2).
• Good level of knowledge of monitoring data center environment and critical assets.
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
• Team player, self-motivated, willing to learn, result oriented
• GCC Driving license is a plus.
