Our client, an established Nordic software company within the healthcare technology space, is currently looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join their growing development team in Gothenburg. This is a permanent position offering a hybrid work model (2 days onsite: Monday and Tuesday) and the chance to work on a greenfield product that will positively impact the healthcare sector.

The Role

This opening has come about due to an internal promotion following the departure of a previous senior team member. You’ll be joining a collaborative team of 10 developers focused on delivering new features and architecture for a next-generation electronic records platform. The product is approaching its launch, and the team is actively building out key functionality for its first group of customers.

Backend development will be your main focus, though experience or interest in frontend development is considered a bonus.

Tech Environment

Core Stack Requirements:

• Kotlin or Java
• Spring Boot
• SQL / relational database design and optimization
• Writing and testing your own code
• Agile ways of working
• Swedish or English language proficiency

Nice to Have:

• Healthcare or MedTech background
• Pair programming or TDD experience
• Kubernetes and CI/CD (trunk-based development)
• Exposure to JavaScript, React, TypeScript, CSS
• German language skills (optional)
