Security Manager

Our client’s company operates in the data center industry, providing a range of services across the Nordics region, particularly in the construction and management of data centers. They specialize in delivering tailored solutions, including infrastructure development, engineering, and operational support, to meet the growing demands of the data center market in Northern Europe.

We are looking for a full-time, experienced Security Manager for one of their group companies, which specializes in developing a new product—an innovative security system for data centers. This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and managing physical security programs for mission-critical environments.
• Oversee access control, surveillance (CCTV), perimeter security, intrusion detection, drons and other security measures.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and security gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, NIST, and other industry standards for physical security.
• Manage relationships with security vendors, integrators, and law enforcement agencies.
• Lead security investigations, incident response, and crisis management for physical security breaches.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and facilities teams to integrate physical security plans.
• Oversee badge access systems, biometric authentication, and other identity management solutions.
• Maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
• Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), CISSP, or CISM are a plus
• 10+ years of experience in critical infrastructure or high-security environments, data centers in particular would be a big plus
• Strong knowledge of security technologies, biometric access controls, and perimeter defence strategies
• Similar professional experience in a security role, with a focus on physical security management
• Excellent organizational management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing physical security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and designing security policies
• HSE experience would be a plus
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization and direct management
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Fluent English (verbal and written) is required
• Certification from professional security associations (e.g. CPP, PSP, etc.) is a plus
• Continuing professional development: participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops focused on the latest developments in physical security and data center management
• Knowledge of security technologies and systems: training in the latest security technologies and systems, such as biometric access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems and communications protocols.
