Sharkmob is looking for a Senior Game Economy Designer to join our studio in Malmö, Sweden. You will work together with a multidisciplinary team to design, implement, and iterate on meta-game, progression and economy systems for our upcoming game, Exoborne. Come join us on a new career adventure!

Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing meta-game, progression and economy-related features on a live game.
  • Designing and balancing systems that provide excellent long-term engagement for our players while remaining sustainable.
  • Maintaining and improving live systems.
  • Using telemetry to make sure that the features you work on achieve the intended results.
  • Keeping an eye on trends and industry best practices within the field of game economy and meta-game design to inform your work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior designer role.
  • Experience working on a live service game.
  • Experience working with telemetry data.
  • A passion for translating numbers into great player experiences – and back again.
  • Understanding of player psychology, motivational models, and how they relate to game design.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent English written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Sharkmob was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Malmö, Sweden. We are currently working on Exoborne – a Sharkmob original game. We have previously released Bloodhunt – a battle royale shooter set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. We develop games for PC and console, using Unreal 5 to power our vision and ambition.
