Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer – Node.js / TypeScript (Microservices & Automation)

Job Summary:

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated Software Engineers with strong Node.js experience to join our growing team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of back-end development, automation testing, and cloud-based microservice architecture. Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)

Experience & Technical Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Node.js
• At least 1+ year of hands-on experience with TypeScript
• Proven experience with Automation Testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or Cucumber
• Strong expertise in developing and testing scalable, highly available RESTful APIs / Microservices using JavaScript technologies
• Experience in creating end-to-end automation test suites (preferably using BDD approach) with Playwright / Selenium
• Practical knowledge of GraphQL
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting distributed systems
• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience integrating with API gateways like 3Scale
• Understanding of SSO and token-based authentication methods (REST, JWT, OAuth)
• In-depth knowledge of task/message queues (e.g., AWS, Azure, Pushpin, Kafka)

Functional Skills:

• Adheres to best practices in coding, testing, security, unit testing, and documentation
• Experienced in Agile development methodologies
• Capable of benchmarking technologies and evaluating alternatives effectively

Soft Skills:

• Able to influence and guide teams on technical considerations
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas to senior stakeholders
