Job Title: Senior UX/UI Designer
Contract: 6 Months
Location: Remote – EST
Pay Range: $50–$55/hr.
Looking for a Senior UX Designer to play a key role in creating accessible and engaging K–12 curriculum experiences across web and mobile platforms. This is a hands-on design role that leverages user-centered methodologies and supports Continuous Discovery efforts in a collaborative, Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Champion human-centered design principles and foster a culture of empathy-driven decision-making.
- Design user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and concepts for digital learning products.
- Translate user insights and research findings into actionable design solutions that improve usability and accessibility.
- Work closely with Technical Product Managers, Project Managers, and Engineers to align on requirements and implementation.
- Present design work confidently to stakeholders and leadership, clearly articulating rationale and gathering feedback.
- Create and apply consistent design patterns and components based on best practices and usability research.
- Contribute to and evolve the organization’s design system with high-quality, accessible UI elements.
- Understand and map user journeys across the broader school platform, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Support Agile sprint teams by continuously refining and iterating designs based on real-world feedback and changing needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design for digital products.
- Strong background in product development and complex application design.
- Proficiency with Figma is essential.
- Experience designing for accessibility (a11y) and inclusive user experiences.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (for collaboration, not development).
- Experience with Salesforce platform is a plus.
- Proven ability to create both low- and high-fidelity design documentation and prototypes.
- Skilled with tools like Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Lucidchart, Miro, or Adobe XD.
- Demonstrated success working within Agile teams and workflows.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX design for web and mobile solutions, with clear rationale behind design choices.
