Job Title: Lead UX/UI Designer
Contract: 6 Months
Location: Remote – EST
Pay Range: $60–$69.50/hr.
Seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to drive impactful user experiences that elevate how teachers and students interact with digital learning tools. This role is ideal for a senior-level designer experienced in both discovery and delivery phases of the design process, with a deep understanding of user-centered design practices, accessibility, and educational platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Lead UX strategy across product discovery and delivery, ensuring consistency and alignment with business and user goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, Academic Designers, and UX Researchers to develop thoughtful and scalable solutions.
- Translate complex user needs, data, and content into engaging and accessible user experiences.
- Facilitate design thinking workshops and drive human-centered design practices across teams.
- Define and maintain design systems and reusable UI components across product lines.
- Present design concepts and advocate for UX best practices to stakeholders at all levels.
- Support product discovery with user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual design.
- Guide accessibility standards and inclusive design throughout the user journey.
- Work with UX Researchers to analyze user insights and continuously refine solutions.
- Mentor team members and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative design culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of experience in UX/UI Design, with a strong background in product development and system design.
- Proven experience delivering high-quality web and mobile design solutions in an Agile environment.
- 3 years of accessibility (a11y) experience, with deep knowledge of inclusive design principles.
- Expertise in Figma is required.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX work across responsive platforms.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals (no coding required, but helpful for collaboration).
- Experience working on complex digital products or applications (educational technology preferred).
- Familiarity with the Salesforce platform is a plus.
