Android Engineer - £75K (1-day per week in London)
An Android Engineer is required by an established company in the live entertainment industry who are building a brand new greenfield application which will be going live this year.
About you:
- The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and ambitious Android Engineer who will be responsible for developing and maintaining a new mobile application in the entertainment sector
- Your primary focus will be on building the application and ensuring seamless integration with back-end services
- You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a hybrid development team
- A strong commitment to collaborative problem-solving, thoughtful design, and the delivery of a high-quality product is essential
- Modern Android development with Kotlin and modern Android development toolkit
- Experience with coroutines and reactive programming using Kotlin Flow
- Good understanding of MVVM, ViewModel and LiveData
About the role:
- Responsible for designing and developing applications for the Android platform
- Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and resolves defects
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of code quality, organisation, and development automation
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a greenfield project from scratch and on a 0-1 product.
You must be based in London or the South East and happy to commute to London 1-day per week.
