PHP Developer

We are seeking a PHP Developer to refine existing legacy products and facilitate the transition to an upgraded platform.

Contribute to the development and operation of PHP solutions while coordinating the migration of legacy systems. Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and other teams to deliver high-performing and effective outcomes. Responsibilities

• Analyze the client's legacy product, predominantly built in PHP, to propose enhancements
• Resolve performance, stability, and bottleneck challenges while recommending architecture improvements
• Develop new product features and maintain communication with Solution Architects and Product Owners
• Tailor solutions for new clients during onboarding to match specific requirements
• Contribute to the Next Gen Claims Pay product in .NET alongside fellow EPAM developers, shaping the project roadmap
• Coordinate with a vendor and development teams based in India
• Engage with USA-based clients to showcase EPAM's capabilities and foster relationships
• Facilitate the transition from Amazon Web Services to Microsoft Azure
• Evaluate current architectural solutions and provide expert recommendations
  
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in PHP development, with knowledge of OPCache/APC and PHP linters
• Understanding of MySQL, including transactions and logging
• Expertise in profiling and refactoring using xDebug and xhprof
• Proficiency in Agile and Scrum practices
• Background in Docker usage at an intermediate level
• Capability to communicate effectively with clients in English
• Familiarity with working with American clients in client-facing roles
