Job Description:

As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems. You will work closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to create software that meets the needs of our clients while ensuring high-quality code and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Java-based applications and services
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on quality and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, architects, and business stakeholders
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members to ensure best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Stay updated with the latest Java technologies and best practices to continuously improve development processes
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Java Developer with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and SQL databases
• Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of design patterns, unit testing, and test-driven development (TDD)
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (knowledge of Dutch is a plus)

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) is a plus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
