Business Security Officer for Operation Resilience and Technology Risk (Finland)

Job Description
We are looking for a business risk professional to work as a serve between Danske Bank's local business in Finland and the central Operational Resilience and Technology Risk functions. If you have experience in information security, risk management or IT in EU regulated financial services you might be the person we are looking for.
Building strategic understanding between the business and the security
The purpose of the role is to provide business with the necessary capabilities to understand, evaluate and manage technology risks and operational resilience requirements. The Business Security Officer (BSO) is responsible for being the strategic interface and establishing a collaboration platform between the Security, Resilience and Controls (SRC) function and Danske Bank’s business units in Finland. Acceleration of business solutions while keeping a focus on effective security risk management is the ultimate success criteria for the function.
You will join a team of Technology, Risk and Controls within SRC and help the Security function understand local business developments on an ongoing basis. In other words, you act as SRC's representative in Finland. You will also have a dotted line to the Country Management of the Finnish Branch of Danske Bank.
Your responsibilities include:
For this role you will need to be able to effectively analyse and articulate technology risk and operational resilience requirements within the context of business problems and translate this into actionable objectives. We expect you have an advanced understanding of security and working familiarity with recognised standards, e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27000 series, Standard of Good Practice, etc. You are also expected to have an aptitude for understanding internal organizational environments, strategies (business, security, IT), and their relationship to the external business environment. An understanding of relevant Finnish legislation, such as regulations on civil preparedness, protective security, and work environment, is also needed in this role.

- Working as the single point of contact in terms of technology risk and operational resilience matters in Finland.
- Developing an understanding of local business goals and advocating for the business within the Security function to ensure that key business changes are prioritized.
- Engaging with local business teams, Compliance and Country Management to interpret and map applicable laws to actionable security objectives.
- Articulating the risk presented via technology in business terms.
- Providing standard reporting on security service delivery to business partners.
For this role you will need to be able to effectively analyse and articulate technology risk and operational resilience requirements within the context of business problems and translate this into actionable objectives. Other qualifications are:
- 7+ years of experience working in the business side of an international organization. Previous roles in disciplines such as account management, sales and business administration would be advantageous.
- 5+ years of experience working in information security, risk management, IT, operational resilience, civil preparedness, protective security or similar functions. Depending on other competencies, previous roles in disciplines such as fraud & compliance, regulatory affairs, IT audit, data protection would be considered.
- Professional proficiency in Finnish and in English.
