Role

We’re looking for an iOS Engineer with a product mindset to join one of our feature teams. You’ll be involved in building and refining new user-facing features that help people connect more meaningfully on BeReal. This is a great opportunity for someone with around who wants to grow quickly, contribute to a widely used app, and work alongside a passionate and experienced team.

You will be responsible for:

• Designing, implementing, and shipping new features using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Contributing to the overall quality of the app with clean, maintainable code.
• Collaborating with designers, product managers, backend engineers and data analysts to understand user needs and propose impactful solutions.
• Participating in technical discussions and code reviews.
• Analyzing the performance and user impact of the features you build.
• Learning from and contributing to a collaborative, innovation-driven mobile team.
• Contributing to innovation in the iOS stack (Swift, SwiftUI).

• iOS: Swift, Combine, SwiftUI, SPM, Swift Concurrency, MVVM
• Ops: Github.
• Android: Kotlin, Compose, Coroutines, Room, gRPC.
• Backend: Go, Node.js (NestJS, Nx, Typescript).
• Database: Spanner, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Infrastructure: GCP, GKE, Firebase.
• Data: Amplitude, Tableau.

• Solid iOS development experience (~2 years), with concrete projects in production.
• Proficiency in Swift and hands-on experience with SwiftUI.
• Good understanding of iOS app architecture and development best practices.
• Product-oriented mindset with attention to clean interfaces and smooth interactions.
• Passion for building user-facing features with performance and reliability in mind.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams with product, design, backend and data.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.
