The role Security Operations Specialist is to help SSC develop its capabilities in cyber security by supporting enterprise IT and SSC departments with cybersecurity programs. This job includes site audits and assessments, threat hunting and supporting re-architecting our infrastructure and supporting the teams that do continuous monitoring. Your mission will be to support enterprise IT and various SSC departments in developing robust cybersecurity programs.
YOUR ROLE
As a Cyber Security Operations Specialist at SSC, you will play a key role in strengthening and re-architecting our IT infrastructure across the organization. You’ll work hands-on with both technical and strategic aspects of cybersecurity, contributing to a secure, modern, and resilient environment.
In This Role, You Will
- Collaborate with EIT and other departments to reduce risk by enabling robust cybersecurity controls and programs with a focus on automation, zero trust and secure-by-design principles and migrating to cloud services
- Help ensure that SSC’s networks and infrastructure remain secure by applying threat hunting methods and secure-by-design strategies, using a purple team approach.
- Support the development of our security capabilities by shaping the organization, processes, and technologies needed to protect our infrastructure and employees.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of SSC’s standardized infrastructure architecture, with a focus on improving security and supporting our transition to cloud-based services.
- Be an active member of the security incident response team, helping to identify, manage, and respond to potential threats.
- Recommend and implement improvements to SSC’s security architecture and tools.
- Drive awareness and knowledge-sharing by educating staff on technical security practices.
- Conduct cybersecurity audits of SSC’s sites together with your team.

As a key advisor to the Chief Information Security Officer and a trusted member of the Cybersecurity Services team, you are expected to bring a holistic view and contribute to shaping our overall security posture.

- A higher academic degree in engineering, science, or equivalent knowledge
- Deep expertise in cybersecurity systems, tools, and procedures

This is permanent position with 40 hours/week, located at Kiruna or Solna.
