Assistant Manager - Electrical Maintenance

The Assistant Manager will report to the Maintenance Manager. The principal objective of this position is to effectively manage the shop floor activities like machine efficiency targets and optimum utilization of resources. The Assistant Manager should also coordinate with other supporting departments on floor to achieve his Targets.

Responsibilities and Duties

Production Process & Execution:

• Develop, maintain and implement a proper preventive maintenance program for all machines and ensuring implementation.
• Maximize the equipment availability and minimize the machine breakdowns.
• Maintain spare parts and all related activities.
• Carrying out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
• To oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the Plant machineries and equipment.
• will be well-versed in all maintenance process, health, and safety regulations.
• 5S maintained in all responsible areas.

Continual Improvement

• Cost saving by optimal utilization of the spare parts.
• Maximize the equipment availability to have the highest OEE.
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
• Implementation of HSE on shop floor
• The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

People Management

• Training of staff for maintenance and Operational requirements.
• Ensures optimal preventive maintenance and Breakdown solving of production lines so asto improve the output rate.
• The ideal candidate should have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.
• Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

Qualifications and Training

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronics

Experience

• 8 years of work experience in FMCG company, preferably in Bottling Lines, and injection molding systems.
• Knowledge and hands on experience in Automation will be an added advantage

Knowledge

• Designing, selecting and power calculations for new expansions and new load requirements.
• Planning and managing factory electrical systems.
• Overseeing the solar power generation, operation and maintenance of solar panels, tracking the daily generation and proactive planning for upkeeping and avoiding losses.
• Operation and Troubleshooting knowledge on automation components.
• Siemens components which may include CPUIM151-8 PN/DP, CPU 315 2DP, CPU 317-2 PN/DP, Power Module 6ES7 138, Sematic DP/DP coupler.
• Rexroth components include servo drive Indra Drive C, Rexroth PPC R221 (PLC), Rexroth IM 151-Intermediate module.
• B&R components such as zenon Automation PC810 includes zenon version 6.22 software for PC and restoring of machine software project X20 CPU CP3485.
• IF2772 double CAN master.
• Encoder Interface card DS1119.
• Input, Output, power supply and communication module.
• B&R AP620 control computer boot up.
• Troubleshooting PNOZ safety circuit.
• Troubleshooting Knowledge of SMI software like Posyc touchscreen, Marts controller, Sercos Drive.

• Understanding the Power systems and sub-distribution systems for the connected loads.
• PROBLEM SOLVING Should possess a good working knowledge to shop floor operation to come up with a scientific approach for problem solving.
• PLANNING & ORGANIZING Establish a good system for planning operational activities for production and maintenance. Develop simple tools to handle day to day routine problems.
• Sound knowledge on plant automation, production machineries, able to troubleshoot within available resource and minimize interdependence on OEMs.
• Good understanding of the technical features of plant machineries (Krones/Sidel/R-Bardi / Illig /SMI), injection molding process (Husky/Netstal/Engel) and utility equipment.
