Role Summary

Manager Application Delivery for SAP RISE with SAP S/4HANA Transformation will be responsible for leading the end-to-end program to implement, optimize, and support SAP S/4HANA in alignment with Sharaf DG’s strategic objectives. This role ensures successful delivery of the project within scope, budget, and timelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive business process improvements and maximize ROI from the transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP, Integration (including SAP Process Orchestration and SAP BTP), robust testing cycle management, and a deep understanding of delivering mission-critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy & Governance
    • Define and maintain the overall RISE with SAP S/4HANA transformation roadmap, governance framework, and success criteria in collaboration with C-level executives and business stakeholders.
    • Establish program metrics (KPIs) to measure progress, ROI, and alignment with Sharaf DG’s strategic initiatives.
    • Continuously evaluate and adjust program strategy based on evolving business requirements and SAP roadmap updates.
  • Project & Delivery Management
    • Oversee the full project lifecycle—requirements gathering, blueprint, configuration, integration, testing, data migration, cutover, and post-go-live support—for S/4HANA and associated solutions (SAP WMS, SAP BTP, etc.).
    • Implement and uphold Agile/Hybrid methodologies as appropriate, ensuring timely deliverables and robust risk management practices.
    • Manage third-party vendor relationships and other system integrators, ensuring contract compliance and service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
    • Coordinate with internal IT and infrastructure teams to guarantee cloud readiness and alignment with Sharaf DG’s technical landscape.
  • Technical & Integration Oversight
    • Champion the cloud-based architecture under RISE with SAP and ensure all system designs adhere to best practices, security standards, and scalability requirements.
    • Drive integration strategies leveraging SAP PO (Process Orchestration), SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) Integration Suite (for SAP Integrations) and APIs to connect S/4HANA with legacy systems, e-commerce platforms, POS solutions, and other third-party applications.
    • Validate technical architectures and design decisions with consultants/ Partners, ensuring robust data flow, minimal downtime, and optimized performance.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Lead comprehensive testing cycles (SIT, UAT, performance, regression) for all functional and technical components.
    • Establish and monitor strict QA checkpoints, managing defect resolution, sign-offs, and readiness criteria before each project milestone.
    • Engage with business users and test leads to design realistic test scenarios, capturing both standard and edge cases.
  • People Management & Leadership
    • Build, mentor, and lead a cross-functional team of project managers, functional consultants, technical developers, and QA/test specialists.
    • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and KPIs for each team member, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages knowledge-sharing, innovation, and skill development across teams.
  • Change Management & Adoption
    • Develop and execute a change management strategy, including training, user support, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful adoption of new SAP processes and solutions.
    • Partner with HR and functional teams to deliver tailored SAP training.
    • Track user adoption metrics and feedback, making data-driven decisions to enhance solution usability and user satisfaction.
  • Risk Management & Compliance
    • Identify and proactively manage program risks, issues, and dependencies, formulating mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO, and other relevant data protection / security standards.
    • Oversee audits, ensure documentation is up to date, and maintain thorough project traceability.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation
    • Drive ongoing process optimization and digital innovation by leveraging additional SAP tools (e.g., SAP Fiori, Signavio, AI/ML services on BTP).
    • Stay current on SAP roadmap (especially RISE with SAP enhancements), retail and consumer electronics trends, and industry best practices to keep Sharaf DG at the forefront of ERP innovation.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems. A Master’s degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • SAP Experience
    • 20+ years of SAP experience, with multiple full-cycle ERP implementations (ECC and S/4HANA).
    • Proven track record overseeing or significantly contributing to RISE with SAP transformations—if the candidate only has S/4HANA Cloud/On-Prem experience, must show the ability to adapt to the RISE model.
    • Deep functional knowledge in at least one or two SAP modules (Finance, SD, MM, Retail, WMS etc.) and technical exposure (ABAP, integration frameworks).
  • Integration & Technical Skills
    • Demonstrable hands-on integration expertise using SAP PO, SAP BTP (Integration Suite, Extension Suite), or comparable middleware technologies.
    • Experience architecting large-scale, cloud-based solutions and a strong understanding of data migration, system landscapes, and performance optimization in an SAP environment.
    • Solid knowledge of security, networking, and infrastructure components involved in cloud-based S/4HANA deployments.
  • Project/Program Management
    • PMP, PRINCE2, SAP Activate or equivalent certifications strongly preferred.
    • Significant experience leading large SAP programs (budget management, stakeholder alignment, vendor negotiations, resource allocation).
    • Proficient in Agile or hybrid project management methodologies, with examples of delivering complex IT transformations.
  • Retail / Consumer Electronics Domain
    • Demonstrable experience in retail environments and omnichannel commerce (POS, e-commerce integrations).
    • Familiarity with retail business processes—inventory, supply chain, logistics, store operations, and finance.
  • Soft Skills & Leadership
    • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proven stakeholder management and executive reporting capabilities, driving consensus at senior leadership levels.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture, navigate ambiguity, and make well-informed decisions quickly.
