Network Engineer

One of the leading specialists in air transport communications and information technology is looking for a Network Engineer to join their Hybrid team in Montreal, QC.

Our client is looking for a skilled Network Engineer with a strong background in the operation and integration of voice VHF radio systems used in aviation communications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in configuring, operating, and maintaining Voice Communication Systems (VCS). Familiarity with Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) voice radio stations will be highly valued. Additionally, the candidate should possess a solid understanding of networking protocols and the integration of VoIP systems and voice transmission.

Contract Duration: 4+ Month Contract with the opportunity for extension

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in the operation and integration of voice VHF radio systems in aviation communications.
• VCS Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in configuring, operating, and maintaining Voice Communication Systems (VCS).
• R&S Knowledge: Experience with Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) voice radios is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of networking protocols and the integration of VoIP systems and voice transmission.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

• Operation and Integration: Manage the operation and integration of voice VHF radio systems used in aviation communications.
• VCS Management: Configure, operate, and maintain Voice Communication Systems (VCS) to ensure reliable and efficient communication.
• R&S Voice Radios: Utilize experience with Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) voice radios to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Networking Protocols: Apply knowledge of networking protocols to support the integration and functionality of VoIP systems.
• Voice Transmission: Ensure seamless voice transmission through effective integration and maintenance of communication systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to VHF radio systems, VCS, and VoIP integration.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, operations, and maintenance activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support communication infrastructure and address technical challenges.
