Senior Product Designer

By joining Microsoft’s Business & Industry Copilot (BIC) team, you will play a pivotal role in envisioning, designing, and developing AI Agentic experiences—one of the most highly anticipated Copilot capabilities. You will also contribute to building enterprise experiences on Dynamics 365, driving a transformative revolution in sales, service, and support enterprise applications.

As a Senior Product Designer IC on the Customer Experience team, you will craft user-centered, innovative design solutions that enhance both the emotional and functional aspects of enterprise products. This role focuses on delivering seamless end-to-end AI Agentic user experiences while balancing technical and business objectives. You will collaborate across teams to define, develop, and refine product features, communicate compelling product narratives, and mentor product designers to deliver exceptional design outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Provides guidance to the team of product designers. Ensures full understanding of the original design and vision, and links to established problem and/or goal. Influences those outside of design.
• Experience Vision: Envision the future AI vision of the product, aligned with user needs, business objectives, and technical requirements, to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.
• UX Storytelling: Leverage storytelling to convey the design vision and user journey, transforming complex ideas into compelling narratives that inspire stakeholders, align teams, and evoke empathy for user needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with researchers, product managers, engineers, business, and other stakeholders to align on UX goals, ensure implementation feasibility, and refine designs based on feedback.
• Design System Advocacy: Champion the adoption of design systems to maintain consistency, cohesion, and alignment across products. Helps others in using the system effectively while driving advocacy for its adoption.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor the design team, fostering skill development, aligning design goals, and driving the team toward high-quality outcomes.
• Effective Communication: Proactively communicates with leaders and stakeholders, adapting the narrative to different audiences, while fostering collaboration among teams to ensure alignment and clarity for impactful design outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (RQs)

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 10+ post degree full-time years’ experience working in product or service design
• OR master’s degree in industrial design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 8+ year’s post degree full time experience working in product or service design
• OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems)
