Role Overview:

We are looking for a backend developer, with functional and technical experience working with Laravel and Microservices to develop and maintain the backend or server-side of our web applications.

Core Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining REST APIs using PHP and Laravel 10 / 11

Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code

Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data

Testing and debugging code to ensure proper functionality

Collaborating with frontend developers to integrate backend functionality with the user interface

Optimizing application performance and scalability

Staying up to date with the latest developments and best practices in backend development

Skills, knowledge, and expertise

5+ years’ experience in a relevant role and in the following items (Mandatory)

Exceptional skill in Laravel 10 or 11 is a MUST-HAVE. And experience designing and maintaining databases.

Experience in microservices architecture and containers

Solid know-how in API REST

Ability to optimize load times and improve existing code.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with Scrum Methodology and GIT

Experience in Linux is a plus

Strong verbal & written communication skills in English are essential

• Role Type: Digital Nomad, Fully Remote
• Contract Type: Contractor / Freelancer (Not Direct Cyprus Hire)
• Rate Type: Day Rate
• Working Days: 5 Days per week on offer
